Video on Proposed Water/Sewer Rate Increase in Union County
Here is a video of the public meeting regarding the proposed rate increases by Union County Public Works, based in Monroe, NC. We only have a limited amount of time to respond to this proposed increase, and I wanted to be sure to share this info with my customers and friends. In 2012, volumetric rates will increase 7 percent and by an additional 3.5 percent annually for the following two years. The base fee will increase to $6. The county service will also be expanding some services into Eastern portions of Union County.
Please watch the video and note that the final presentation to the County Commissioners will be on December 5th.
