Pineville

Pineville, North Carolina is probably most famous for being the birthplace of James K. Polk , the 11th President of the United States, for which a state historic site is still designated with a cabin original to that period.  But that is tucked away behind the sprawling Carolina Place Mall for which it retains it’s current fame.

It’s location near Ballantyne, just south of Charlotte, and just north of the South Carolina border serves the community well for commerce and business relocation.  In fact, it has always been known as a trade center due to it’s  location (based on 2 major Indian trading routes), and was historically known for it’s mule trading during the gold rush.  Now it is a suburban mecca consisting of the mall, numerous shopping plazas and the hospital, CMC-South, but also retains it’s historic downtown shopping center as well.  It offers numerous subdivision, condo, townhome, and apartment options in all price ranges.
